      Okay.  So we have blocked a minimum of 25 standard rooms at $96.00 per room.  This is the wedding Group Rate at the Radisson Hotel Opryland for the nights of September 7 and 8, 2012. The rate also applies from September 4 through 11, 2012 so you can arrive 4 days before the wedding and stay 3 days after the wedding!

     Each additional person above double occupancy to a room is $10.00. Children 12 years and under are free when occupying the same room as their parents. Sales and lodging tax or the current prevailing tax will apply to the room rate, which is currently a total of 15.25% plus a $2.50 city tax.  (Sheesh)

All individual Room Block reservations must be received thirty (30) days prior to the wedding date. All individual reservations must be accompanied by one night's deposit plus tax or guaranteed by a major credit card (the Hotel will charge an attendee's credit card for one night's stay prior to arrival).

Room reservations received by this date will be confirmed at the group rate. After this date, they will be confirmed on a space-available basis at the prevailing rack rate (regular room price at the time of booking). Deposits are only refundable for cancellations occurring 24 hours prior to arrival.

The main reasons that we chose the Radisson Opryland are:
• It is a large newly renovated hotel with all of the large hotel amenities. (awesome bar!)
• It is convenient (15 minutes) to both downtown and the wedding location
• They provide complementary local transportation to Opryland, Gaylord Hotel, the Mall, etc.
• They provide transportation to and from the airport at a nominal charge.
• They provide two way transportation on a regularly scheduled basis between the hotel and
downtown at a nominal charge. Friday night “meet the bride and groom” is downtown.
• There are plenty of neat places to go and eat within walking distance.
• The guaranteed room rate is lower than comparable hotels downtown and in Opryland.
• We will arrange transportation to and from the hotel to the wedding at Spring Haven Mansion.

So here's the bottom line.  :)  We absolutely loved the hotel.  The rooms are really nice, and the place, is so awesome.

There's an indoor pool.  You can have a room that overlooks the interior... it's not a courtyard.... it's a huge open area with chairs and tables and a bar (think that has to be booked).

Or you can have a room with a balcony(ish), basically it's a room with a door to the outside.    It's just so neat.  We had the best time just walking around the place.  The restaurant/bar is really well known.  They have live music and great food.  We fell in love with the hotel, and hope you will too.
